Dutch automaker Donkervoort announced it is officially coming to the United States. The first model to be available in the US is the Donkervoort D8 GTO Individual Series, priced from $240,000 plus options, taxes and fees.
Donkervoort has been preparing for its US entry since last year, setting aside production. This means that US customers will be able to get their Doknervoort sooner than Europeans who are currently facing a two-year waiting list. The company from the Netherlands partnered with Bespoke Imports Group to bring their vehicles into the North American market.

The D8 GTO Individual Series, originally introduced in September 2021, will be the first Donkervoort to be offered in the US market. The first example will arrive shortly at Naples Motorsports in Florida, while two more D8 GTOs are sent to Colorado and California.
The model is powered by a turbocharged 2.5-liter five-cylinder TFSI engine sourced from Audi Sport and tuned by ABT Sportsline, producing 435 hp (325 kW / 442 PS) and 420 lb-ft (570 Nm) of torque. Weighing less than 1,500 pounds (680 kg), the D8 GTO accelerates from 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in 2.7 seconds and from 0-124 mph (0-200 km/h) in 7.7 seconds, while its top speed is 178 mph (286 km/h).
Denis Donkervoort, the company’s Managing Director, said he always wanted to be able to drive one of their cars in America during his studies in Florida. Speaking about demand, he said: “There is already a surprising amount of interest in the US. Inquiries from the US rank second behind only Europe, despite our supercars never being sold there. We are starting small, but Donkervoort has very big plans for the USA and hypercar technology at a supercar price is the perfect recipe for success here”.
The $240,000 price tag for the US market is higher compared to the €197,109 ($197,339) base price in Europe announced last year. US customers who would like to purchase a Donkervoort D8 GTO Individual Series can register their interest here.
