Mitsubishi could be readying an all-new sedan, if this intriguing image shared to social media is any indication.
The Japanese automaker’s range is in a bit of a strange place right now. While it is now selling and producing a new-generation of Outlander, many of its other models are starting to look quite old compared to the competition. This is no more evident than with the Mirage hatchback and Mirage G4 sedan that have been in production for 10 and nine years respectively. So, could now be the perfect time for it to launch a new sedan?
While recently attending the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show, members of the press where shown a slideshow presentation previewing a host of new and upcoming models for the Indonesian market. This image sent to us by Autonetmagz shows Mitsubishi’s Xpander APR and featured directly below it is a mystery model in a red cover that looks suspiciously like a sedan.

Very few details about the mystery vehicle are known, other than the obvious fact that it seems to be slightly sleeker and more streamlined than the Mirage G4.
One explanation as to what we’re looking at could be a successor to the Mirage G4. The model has already been facelifted two times and is in dire need of a replacement, even though sales of sedans around the world are no longer as strong as they once were. While we’d love to see Mitsubishi revive the Lancer and Lancer Evolution, we think that is highly unlikely.
