Say hello to the ‘Pamper Van’, a unique take on the Volkswagen Multivan that will make appearances at various festivals throughout the UK this summer.
Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles took off the cover to the Pamper Van at the recent Cornbury Festival in Oxfordshire that featured stars including Bryan Adams, James Blunt, and Ronan Keating.
The exterior of the unique Multivan makes an immediate impression with a multi-colored pattern consisting of orange, yellow, light blue, royal blue, and purple. It is in the cabin where most of the changes have been made, however.

Even though the automaker hasn’t released photos of the interior, we’re told it has been transformed into an Instagram-friendly photobooth with seats, lighting, and a dedicated camera. Joining the Pamper Van is canopy tent where a team of hairdressers and beauticians are on call to give festival-goers new hair styles and face glitter.
“We know that with the unpredictable UK weather – hot or cold – festivals can often leave guests needing some TLC, which is exactly what the Pamper Van offers,” Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles national communications manager, Laura Bignall, said in a statement. “With its spacious and versatile interior, the Multivan is proving to be the ‘van that can’ deliver all sorts – from family transport and business chauffeuring to a festival makeover and photobooth! ”
The latest Volkswagen Multivan was unveiled in mid-2021. It is underpinned by the automaker’s MQB platform and for the first time, is available with a plug-in hybrid powertrain. This option consists of a 1.4-liter four-cylinder with 148 hp coupled to an 85 kW electric motor, producing a combined 215 hp. Those who aren’t interested in the PHEV can order the Multivan with a 134 hp 1.5-liter TSI four-cylinder, a 201 hp 2.0-liter TSI four-cylinder, or a 148 hp diesel.
