The latest-generation 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander Plug-In Hybrid EV has launched in Australia and will start to reach dealerships from August 15.
Found at the heart of the Outlander Plug-In Hybrid EV is a 2.4-liter Atkinson cycle four-cylinder engine that works alongside two electric motors and a 20 kWh lithium-ion battery pack. The engine alone is good for 98 kW (131 hp) while the front electric motor produces 85 kW (114 hp) and the rear motor adds 100 kW (134 hp). This results in a combined 185 kW (248 hp) and 450 Nm (332 lb-ft), which is sent to the pavement through Mitsubishi’s Super-All-Wheel Control (S-AWC) system.
Mitsubishi Australia has confirmed that it will offer four trim levels of the Outlander Plug-In Hybrid EV.
