Lexus might have a spiffy new LX, but the GX continues to trudge along and it’s getting a few updates for 2023.
Since the model received an updated interior with a 10.3-inch infotainment system last year, the 2023 changes are relatively minor and are highlighted by a revamped Black Line Special Edition.
Limited to 3,000 units, the GX 460 Black Line is based on the Premium trim and features a revised color palette that now includes Eminent White Pearl as well as Obsidian and Nori Green Pearl. The model also features dark accents on the grille and taillights. They’re joined by 18-inch gloss black wheels as well as a spoiler and shark fin antenna that are now painted black.

Moving into the cabin, there’s new Boulder Gray NuLuxe seats that contrast with a black headliner. Buyers will also find Black Matte Ash Wood trim as well as Gray stitching. The special edition also comes equipped with a Panoramic View Monitor, which is now standard for 2023.
Additional changes are limited, but the regular GX lineup sees Eminent White Pearl replace Starfire Pearl, while Claret Mica has been dropped altogether. Furthermore, the Luxury trim gains a newly standard Mark Levinson premium audio system.
Power continues to be provided by a 4.6-liter V8 engine that develops 301 hp (224 kW / 305 PS) and 329 lb-ft (446 Nm) of torque. It’s connected to a six-speed automatic transmission and a standard four-wheel drive system.
Pricing starts at $57,575 and climbs to $68,230 for the range-topping GX460 Luxury.
