Ducati and Lamborghini are iconic Italian brands, and it appears they’re partnering on a new special edition.
As you can see in this teaser, Ducati is set to introduce a “very special” model on September 2nd that “combines exclusivity, sporty attitude, and charm.”
That’s not much to go on, but the teaser image shows a carbon fiber intake as well as Lamborghini STO badging. We can also see a striking two-tone paint job that appears to incorporate Lamborghini’s eye-catching Verde Citrea.

Details remain elusive, but the special edition likely pays tribute to the Lamborghini Huracán STO. The model is billed as a “genuine race car” for the road as well as the “purest concentration of Squadra Corse’s motorsports prowess.”
That isn’t just marketing hype as the model has extensive aerodynamic upgrades as well as carbon fiber in more than 75% of its exterior panels. The latter helps the car to tip the scales at 2,952 lbs (1,339 kg) dry, which is 95 lbs (43 kg) less than the old Huracán Performante.
The rear-wheel drive super car is powered by a naturally aspirated 5.2-liter V10 engine that develops 631 hp (470 kW / 640 PS) and 417 lb-ft (565 Nm) of torque. It’s connected to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, which enables the model to rocket from 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in three seconds flat. If drivers keep their foot planted, the Huracán STO will eventually hit a top speed of 193 mph (310 km/h).
We’ll learn more about the special edition Ducati on Friday, but we’ll remind our readers this isn’t the first tie-up between the two brands. Nearly two years ago, the companies partnered on the Ducati Diavel 1260 Lamborghini that drew inspiration from the Siàn FKP 37 and was limited to 630 units.
