Gordon Murray Automotive will celebrate its American debut at The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering held during Monterey Car Week in California.

The small British car manufacturer’s presence at Monterey will kick off on August 19 when it displays the T.50 and T.33 supercars at the event. Gordon Murray himself and Gordon Murray Group chief executive Philip Lee will also hold a press conference.

While the automaker hasn’t said just how many of the T.50 and T.33 vehicles ordered by customers will end up in the United States, we suspect that the U.S. will prove to be a popular market for both models.

It is not just a presence at The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering that Gordon Murray Automotive is celebrating. On August 20, a classic Duckhams Ford TM has been entered into the Le Mans tribute race at Laguna Seca by Gordon Murray Heritage. The car will be driven by four-time IndyCar Series champion and three-time Indy 500 winner Dario Franchitti.

In other news, the company announced that it will establish a Gordon Murray Automotive Center in Florida earlier this week.

“As a Group, we are incredibly excited to officially launch Gordon Murray Automotive in America and announce the Gordon Murray Automotive Center for the North American market,” Philip Lee said in a statement. “Monterey Car Week is the ultimate event to communicate such an important milestone for our company.”

The Gordon Murray T.33 was unveiled earlier this year. Like the flagship T.50, it features a naturally aspirated 3.9-liter V12 developed by Cosworth but whereas the T.50’s engine is good for 654 hp and 344 lb-ft (467 Nm) of torque, the T.33’s engine has been detuned to 606 hp and 333 lb-ft (451 Nm) of torque.
