Toyota’s Hino Emissions Scandal Spreads In Japan As Light Truck Shipments Halted
The emissions scandal surrounding Hino has just grown to include more than 76,000 examples of the Dutro small truck. With the halting of the shipments of the model in question, Hino has paused roughly 60 percent of its vehicles this year alone. The company, which is part of Toyota, claims that its trucks haven’t exceeded emissions limits and that the false readings were reported due to negligence.
Mercedes-AMG Celebrates 55th Birthday By Building 5 Non-Homologated GT3 Racecars
Five hand-built examples of the Mercedes-AMG GT3 Edition 55 are being built in celebration of AMG’s 55th anniversary. While there’s the obligatory livery, badges, and plaques, the headline factor of this limited-to-five special is that the Edition 55 hasn’t undergone homologation. Although that precludes it from being entered into any FIA events, it also means that the 6.3-liter V8 doesn’t have to abide by the FIA’s rules and, as such, produces 650 hp (685 kW/659 PS) — 100 hp (75 kW/101 PS) more than the standard GT3 racecar.

Most notable is the special wrap and extended black package, but also included is the air suspension pack, off-road pack, advanced off-road ability pack, roof ladder, winch, and integrated air compressor.

2024 Chevrolet Silverado HD Scooped Both Inside And Out
Our spy photographers have managed to snap the upcoming 2024 Chevrolet Silverado HD’s exterior and interior, albeit camouflaged. The exterior reveals Silverado HD design traits despite looking like it could be a GMC Sierra. The interior snaps show an enlarged 13.4-inch infotainment screen and a new dashboard design in what is evidently one of the more luxurious variants being prepared.
