Mercedes-AMG makes some pretty wild vehicles like the One but it is also licensing its name for other kinds of products. One of these is the new AMG Office Chair, which is derived from the original performance seat option that is offered in AMG vehicles.
The official video is showing the driver seat of a Mercedes-AMG GLA 45 S which is identical to the AMG Office Chair – minus the wheels. The bucket seat has an integrated headrest, pronounced side bolsters, and the AMG logo on a metal plaque. It is upholstered in black Artico man-made leather and Dinamica microfiber, with red stripes and decorative stitching.
Those who will use the AMG Office Chair for work, will not pay that much attention to the side support, but they will certainly appreciate the style and comfort of an actual car seat. The backrest can be manually adjusted and the softpad armrests can be rotated inwards with adjustable width and height. The black powder-coated base integrates a height adjustment and swinging mechanism, while the wheels have a chrome-ring design. Finally, there is a seat extension for your thighs.
With a price of €3,500 ($3,569), the AMG Office Chair is more expensive than your typical office furniture. Still, it is much cheaper compared to similar offerings from Porsche and Rolls-Royce. Whether you’d spend this kind of money on an office chair is always a personal choice but as a YouTube user suggested, it would be cheaper to buy an actual seat from a crashed Mercedes-AMG model and do the conversion themselves – although the final result might probably not end up as nice looking as the real deal.
