Nissan Rogue Gains New Midnight Edition And Higher Prices For 2023

Nissan is going dark with a new Midnight Edition package for the 2023 Rogue.

Available on the mid-level Rogue SV, the $1,535 package embraces the blackout trend by adding a gloss black grille, black badging, and matching mirror caps. The model has also been outfitted with black fascia inserts, a black diffuser, and 18-inch alloy wheels that unsurprisingly feature a gloss black finish.

Interior changes are minor, but Nissan noted the Midnight Edition will come equipped with TailorFit leatherette seating. Since the model is based on the Rogue SV, buyers can also expect to find an eight-way power driver’s seat, a six-speaker audio system, and a dual-zone automatic climate control system. They should be joined by an 8-inch infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility.

Elsewhere in the lineup, not much has changed for 2023 as Nissan noted the Rogue Platinum and Rogue SL with the Premium package now come equipped with Amazon Alexa. The virtual assistant enables users to “play music, place calls, control smart home devices and more” simply by speaking.

Under the hood, there’s a turbocharged 1.5-liter three-cylinder engine with variable compression technology. It produces 201 hp (150 kW / 204 PS) and 225 lb-ft (305 Nm) of torque. The engine is connected to an Xtronic continuously variable transmission, which can be paired to an optional all-wheel drive system.

While the engine carries over, pricing has climbed as the 2023 Rogue starts at $27,360 which is an increase of $210. However, that’s before factoring in a destination and handling fee of $1,295.
