Pricing details for the 2023 Nissan Kicks have just been announced and unsurprisingly, it is more expensive than last year’s model.

Sitting at the base of the 2023 range is the Kicks S. Priced from $20,290, it is a touch more expensive than the $19,700 of last year’s model, which itself was $100 pricier than the 2021 Kicks S.

The mid-range Kicks SV is now available from $22,150 compared to the $21,550 starting price of the 2022 model. Continuing to sit at the top of the range is the Kicks SR priced from $22,850, a $450 increase from last year.

Nissan hasn’t just jacked up the MSRP of the Kicks. The destination and handling charge has also been increased from $1,175 to $1,295. These price rises come despite the fact that no changes or updates have actually been made for the 2023 Kicks.

As such, all variants are powered by a 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine with 122 hp and 114 lb-ft (155 Nm) of torque. This engine works alongside a continuously variable transmission that sends power through the front wheels.

Those who pick up the keys to the Kicks S receive things like 16-inch steel wheels, a keyless entry system, and power windows and locks. A six-speaker audio system is also featured alongside a 7-inch infotainment display with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Nissan Safety Shield 360 also comes standard and includes automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane departure warning, rear automatic braking, a blind spot warning system, rear parking sensors, rear cross traffic alert, and high-beam assist.

Upgrades enjoyed by the Kicks SV include 17-inch alloy wheels, rear disc brakes, silver roof rails, an 8-inch infotainment system, 7-inch gauge cluster, automatic climate control, and adaptive cruise control. Separating the Kicks SR from lesser variants are LED headlights, a grille finished in satin chrome, a rear spoiler, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and an Intelligent Around View Monitor.
