The 2023 Ram ProMaster has made its debut in the Motor City at the ongoing Detroit Auto Show, some six months after being first presented to the world.

While it isn’t the most exciting nor exhilarating vehicle currently on display at the show, it should prove popular among commercial customers. Dealers will start to receive the 2023 ProMaster this quarter before the keys are handed over to customers.

No less than 19 different configurations are available for the ProMaster, including no less than four lengths, three wheelbase options, and three roof heights. One intriguing configuration is the super high roof option that adds 10 inches (254 mm) of headroom while cargo length varies from 8 feet (2,428 mm) all the way through to 13.5 feet (4,115 mm) depending on the configuration. The payload sits at an impressive 4,680 lbs while the ProMaster can tow up to 6,910 lbs.

The interior of the new Ram ProMaster appears quite nice in person and features either a 7-inch or a 10-inch infotainment display with the Uconnect 5 system that supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. A digital instrument cluster is also featured, as is a dashboard-mounted gear selector and a sporty steering wheel.

Among the key safety and technology features of the ProMaster are a Parallel and Perpendicular Park Assist function, Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop & Go functionality, a Lane Keep Assist system with Level 2 autonomous capability, and a 360-degree Surround View camera.

All 2023 Ram ProMaster models feature the same 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 producing 276 hp and 250 lb-ft (339 Nm) of torque, coupled exclusively to a nine-speed TorqueFlite automatic transmission that sends power to the front wheels.
