BMW has partnered with fashion brand Kith for the second time and has created two very special cars. The first will be a highly limited i4 M50, and the second is a modified 1972 BMW 1602.
The new special edition of the i4 M50 will be limited to just seven examples, and one of them will be offered in an auction. All seven will be painted Kith Vitality Green, a rich dark green color which is also the first-ever official BMW paint color named after a brand partner. Exclusive to this collaboration, the color is joined by other unique touches.
BMW designed new logos that integrate the Kith name into them, adding green to the famous roundel as both a nod to the fashion brand, and to celebrate the electric powertrain in the i4 M50.

Inside, the car gets Caramel-colored full-grain merino leather upholstery throughout the cabin, including around the carpets, which are also embroidered with the M logo. The headrests and the armrests have the Kith logo embossed in them, while “Kith Exclusive Edition” is laser-engraved into the trim.
The powertrain remains stock in the i4 M50 by Kith, unlike the 1972 BMW 1602, which has been converted to run on electric power. Unfortunately, BMW didn’t go into detail about the conversion.
The model was chosen as a nod to the past. The 1602 was the first BMW ever built with an electric drivetrain when the brand sent two electric versions of it to serve as camera cars at the 1972 Munich Olympics.
Like the i4 M50, the car has been painted Kith Vitality Green and upholstered in Caramel-colored leather. The Kith-embossed leather has been used more extensively in the older car, with the brand name gracing the door cards and the seating surfaces.
The logos on the 1602’s exterior replace the BMW ones with “KITH” because the car is being handed over to Ronnie Fieg, the designer who founded Kith in 2011 and collaborated with the automaker on this project.
Kith and BMW partnered in 2020 for the BMW M4 Competition x Kith. Limited to 150 examples, that special edition of the M4 was sold out in just 30 minutes. That success, and Fieg’s noted collection of BMWs, inspired the two companies to work together again.
In addition, Kith will sell a 51-piece collection of apparel and accessories inspired by the Kith Vitality Green paint and the caramel leather of the cars created for this collaboration.
