Buying a second-hand supercar can be an expensive crapshoot, but Bugatti is making things easier by launching a new certified pre-owned program.
Designed to take some of the stress out of buying used Chirons and Veyrons, the program promises to provide customers with cars that offer the “incomparable quality expected of the Bugatti ‘macaron.’”
More importantly, certified pre-owned Chirons will come with a one-year limited warranty that is “just as comprehensive as the original warranty provided for new Bugatti models.” As a result, it covers all parts and labor for mechanical, electrical, corrosion or paint issues.

The warranty for Veyrons is less generous, but covers mechanical and electrical items as well as parts and labor. That should prove comforting as some repairs on a Veyron can costs as much as a new Mercedes. In particular, Road & Track has previously reported the fuel tank costs $20,000 (£17,668 / €20,233) by itself and is another $22,000 (£19,435 / €22,256) to install.
Speaking of warranty work, repairs will be performed by authorized service partners and only genuine Bugatti parts will be used. The latter come with a separate two-year warranty that thankfully covers replacement and labor, in case something goes wrong.
As an added bonus, CPO buyers will receive an inclusive annual service within the first year of ownership. Furthermore, the CPO warranty applies worldwide so if issues arise on a trip across Europe, owners can rest assured their car will be covered no matter which country they’re in.
Bugatti’s Managing Director of Sales and Marketing, Hendrik Malinowski, remarked “Our new Certified Pre-Owned program means that those who want to savor the incomparable excellence of the Veyron and Chiron by opting for previously enjoyed examples, can now benefit from the exemplary customer service and unique attention to detail that only authorized Bugatti Service Partners are able to offer.”
