When Ford unveiled the redesigned Mustang last week, they included a cool Easter Egg in the form of a Mustang sedan sketch. That inspired Sugar Design to render the car into reality and the results are undeniably impressive.
As you can see, the front end carries over from the latest pony car but virtually everything aft of the A-pillar is unique. The changes are extensive and include a rakish windscreen that flows into a sloping roof.
Elsewhere, there’s a coupe-like greenhouse and an extra set of doors that flow into muscular rear haunches. A number of other Mustang design cues have also been integrated into the sedan including sporty side skirts and an expressive lower door treatment.

The renderings don’t give us a glimpse of the rear end, but it appears to echo the coupe with the exception of the GT’s rear spoiler. As a result, the car would likely boast a four-tailpipe exhaust system, angular lines, and the Mustang’s iconic taillights.
While the Mustang Mach-E has proven controversial with fans, there’s little doubt a Mustang sedan would be more warmly received – especially if it remained rear-wheel drive. It would also be hard to argue with the presumed engine lineup that would include an all-new, turbocharged 2.3-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder and a fourth-generation 5.0-liter Coyote V8. The latter is slated to produce around 500 hp (373 kW / 507 PS) in the Dark Horse variant.
