Chinese automaker Hongqi has lifted the veil on three intriguing electric concepts alongside the launch of the Hongqi Yuan Universe, a metaverse for the company.

All three of the concepts are based around the automaker’s Super Electric Intelligent Vehicle Platform Architecture. The concepts take the form of the Hongqi Sedan EV, Hongqi SUV EV, and the Hongqi E-LS.

Kicking things off is the Hongqi Sedan EV. This vehicle is a B-segment EV that has been conceived to feature a range of over 1,000 km (621 miles) while sporting a battery that can be charged as per usual or swapped out and replaced for a new one. Hongqi adds that it could hit 100 km/h (62 mph) in a mere 3 seconds.

The exterior design of the sedan is quite futuristic. Among the key styling details are the beautifully raked windshield that flows seamlessly into the roof panel and side windows. The car features Hongqi’s traditional ‘red flag’ motif on the hood and also rocks the kind of wheels you would only expect to see on a concept.

The second vehicle is the Hongqi SUV EV. It has a design that reminds us of both the Kia Telluride and the Bentley EXP 9F SUV concept from a decade ago. The SUV is said to sport intelligent active air suspension, intelligent four-wheel drive, and rear-wheel steering to aid in both on- and off-road driving.

Last but not least is the Hongqi E-LS. It takes the form of a high-riding convertible painted in a bright shade of green and rocking various black, red, and orange accents.

As all three concepts have been conceived as part of the Hongqi Yuan Universe, it remains uncertain if they will reach the light of day and actually hit the production line.
