Lexus has introduced a number of updates to the IS range for the 2023 model year.
Kicking off the updates are changes to the IS 300 and IS 350 F Sport models. Most notably, the IS 350 will be offered in a new F Sport Design grade in both rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive configurations, complete with tweaks to the bumpers, front grille, rear lip spoiler, and badges. Distinctive 19-inch F Sport alloy wheels also come fitted.
A further upgrade for 2023 is the availability of a Handling Package for the IS 350 F Sport, complete with Adaptive Variable Suspension, a Torsen limited-slip rear differential for rear-wheel drive models, 19-inch matte black BBS wheels, and Drive Mode Select with Sport S/S+ and Custom Modes, aimed at adding to the thrill of driving.

A Special Appearance Package has also been added to the 2023 IS 350 F Sport. It features an Incognito paint finish accented by an Obsidian black hood and roof, 19-inch Enkei alloy wheels with a dark finish, and a black NuLuxe interior. Just 480 examples will be offered to customers starting this fall.
Changes have also been made to the 2023 IS 500 F Sport and IS 500 F Sport Premium. As standard, the IS 500 will be offered with 19-inch Enkei alloy wheels with a dark finish while F Sport Performance variants will be offered with matte black 19-inch BBS forged alloys.
The Special Appearance Package will also be offered for the 2023 IS 500 F Sport. It includes a Molten Pearl exterior paint finish with a Black NuLuxe interior and joined by 19-inch matte black BBS forged wheels. Color-matched floor-trimmed mats and key gloves also come with the Special Appearance Package. Production of the package will be capped at just 150 units and sales will start this fall.
Lexus will offer the 2023 IS in a choice of 10 exterior colors, consisting of Ultra White, Eminent White Pearl, Atomic Silver, Cloudburst Gray, Iridium, Caviar, Matador Red Mica, Infrared, Grecian Water, and Ultrasonic Blue Mico 2.0.
Other upgrades made include the availability of interior decorative ornamentation finished in Black Metallic paint, Black Geometric Film, or Satin Chrome in IS 500 F Sport Performance models. Key safety features that come standard through the Lexus Safety System+ 2.5 include a Pre-Collision System with Frontal Collision Warning, Automatic Emergency Braking, Pedestrian Detection and Bicyclist Detection.
No powertrain changes have been made. As such, the 2023 IS 300 is offered with a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder producing 241 hp and 258 lb-ft (350 Nm) of torque through the rear wheels. Then there is the IS 300 AWD, fitted with a 3.5-liter V6 mustering up 260 hp and 236 lb-ft (320 Nm) of torque and coupled to a six-speed automatic transmission.
Customers seeking additional performance can opt for the IS 350 in rear- and all-wheel drive guises, both fitted with a 311 hp and 280 lb-ft (380 Nm) version of the 3.5-liter V6. Continuing to top out the range is the IS 500 with its naturally-aspirated 5.0-liter V8 producing 472 hp and 395 lb-ft (535 Nm) of torque.
Pricing starts at $40,585 for the IS 300 and tops out at $62,770 for the IS 500 F Sport Premium, including a $1,150 delivery, processing and handling fee.
