The Maserati MC20 is performance flagship of the Trident brand. Thus Novitec’s designers and engineers couldn’t resist the challenge of creating a tuning package for the mid-engined supercar, including discreet aero and a power boost for the V6 Nettuno engine.

Starting with the exterior, Novitec added a pair of side fins on the front bumper intakes and a slightly larger ducktail rear spoiler made of carbon fiber. The same material was used for the hood inserts, and side intake inserts. The additional aero components do not alter the clean design of the MC20, and are hard to notice without a direct comparison.

What is easier to spot are the new NF 10 forged rims by Vossen, measuring 20-inches at the front and 21-inches at the back. The aftermarket wheels are shod in performance tires, and can be combined with a lowered suspension for improved handling. More specifically, Novitec’s sports springs can bring the MC20 closer to the ground by 25 mm (1 inch). The tuner is also offering plenty of options for the interior including leather and Alcantara upholstery in any desired colour.

Moving on to the performance upgrades, Novitec spiced up the dry-sump twin-turbo 3.0-liter V6 engine with two plug-and-play N-TRONIC modules, and a revised exhaust. As a result, the total output is 701 hp (523 kW / 711 PS) and 818 Nm (603 lb-ft) of torque, representing a healthy increase over the stock 621 hp (463 kW / 630 PS) and 730 Nm (538 lb-ft). The power bump has a positive effect on performance, with the 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) acceleration taking 2.8 seconds (-0.1 seconds), and the top speed exceeding the 202 mph (325 km/h) mark.

As for the exhaust, Novitec is offering plenty of choices here, made of stainless steel or Inconel, with sport mufflers and optional 100-cell sport catalysts. There is an optional active sound management system for those who don’t want to wake up the neighbours every time, while the dual 100-mm tailpipes can be specified with either stainless steel or carbon fiber finish.

In typical Novitec fashion, the tuner published a video presentation of their Maserati MC20 on YouTube, where you can hear the sound of the Nettuno V6 after a detailed tour of the upgrades. We guess that the same parts will be compatible with the drop-top Maserati MC20 Ciello, for those who are not satisfied with the factory-spec model.
