The BMW M5 CS will likely go down in the history books as one of the finest non-electrified performance sedans ever produced, meaning it could turn into quite the collectible. So, if you have the money, buying one on the used car market could be quite a smart idea.
This particular M5 CS has been listed up for auction through Bring a Trailer and is finished in Frozen Brands Hatch Gray Metallic. It was purchased new by the seller in December 2021 and is available with 3,400 miles (5,471 km) on the clock, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Oregon title. A look at the window sticker reveals that it had an MSRP of $149,620.

BMW’s engineers made a plethora of upgrades to the M5 CS in order to distinguish it from the standard model. For example, the Dynamic Damper Control system has been revised, it is rocking shorter and stiffer springs, unique toe-link ball joints and stabilizer bars, and improved carbon ceramic brake rotors with red M-branded calipers at all four corners. Perfectly complementing the matte paint finish are the bronze-colored 20-inch wheels wrapped in Pirelli P Zero tires.
The interior of the M5 CS is quite a special place to sit. It features heated M Carbon front bucket seats clad in a mixture of black Merino leather and Alcantara with red accents. Various trimmings of carbon fiber and gloss black are also found without the cabin. Given that this is a luxurious sports sedan, it has plenty of lush features, including a WiFi hotspot, four-zone automatic climate control, a Harman Kardon surround-sound system, and BMW’s Active Driving Assistant.
Slotted beneath the aggressive skin of the M5 CS is a twin-turbocharged 4.4-liter V8 pumping out 627 hp and 553 lb-ft (750 Nm) of torque. This engine is coupled to a ZF eight-speed automatic transmission sending power through an advanced xDrive all-wheel drive system.
