The 2023 Ford F-Series Super Duty continues to impress as the company has released performance specifications for the redesigned truck.
Starting under the hood, the all-new 6.8-liter V8 gas engine develops 405 hp (302 kW / 411 PS) and 445 lb-ft (603 Nm) of torque. That’s a slight improvement over the old 6.2-liter V8, which packed 385 hp (287 kW / 390 PS) and 430 lb-ft (582 Nm) of torque.
The 7.3-liter Godzilla V8 continues to be available, but it benefits from optimized tuning and an improved air intake. Thanks to these changes, the output climbs to a best-in-class rating of 430 hp (321 kW / 436 PS) and 485 lb-ft (657 Nm) of torque, which is a small gain of 10 lb-ft (14 Nm).

On the diesel side, the 6.7-liter Power Stroke V8 returns and continues to produce 475 hp (354 kW / 482 PS) and 1,050 lb-ft (1,422 Nm) of torque. That was to be expected, but the big news is the addition of an all-new high-output variant, which features a unique turbocharger, upgraded exhaust manifolds, and optimized tuning. This allows for a best-in-class output of 500 hp (373 kW / 507 PS) and 1,200 lb-ft (1,625 Nm) of torque.
Those numbers blow the competition out of the water as the 6.6-liter Duramax turbodiesel in the Chevrolet Silverado HD and GMC Sierra HD produces 470 hp (350 kW / 477 PS) and 975 lb-ft (1,320 Nm) of torque. Meanwhile, in Ram land, the high-output 6.7-liter Cummins turbodiesel develops 420 hp (313 kW / 426 PS) and 1,075 lb-ft (1,456 Nm).
Regardless of which engine is selected, all of them come paired to a 10-speed automatic transmission. Four-wheel drive is also now standard equipment on XLT trims and above.
Besides announcing engines specs, Ford revealed an assortment of payload and towing capacities that we’ll simply list here:
Last but not least, Ford announced pricing will start at $43,970 before a $1,795 destination fee. The company is now accepting orders and deliveries are slated to begin early next year.
