The Infiniti QX80 is about to be redesigned, but that isn’t stopping the company from making a handful of updates for 2023.

The changes are minor and the biggest is the addition of Amazon Alexa. The popular voice assistant will enable owners to play music, make calls, and control smart home devices by speaking.

Furthermore, the Lane Departure Warning system now provides haptic steering wheel feedback. Buyers will also get Infiniti Premium Care, which provides up to three years of inspections, oil changes, and tire rotations.

The 2023 QX80 is currently available at dealerships and pricing starts at $72,700. That’s a pretty sizable jump as last year’s model began at $70,600.

In terms of equipment, the entry-level QX80 Luxe has LED lighting units, a moonroof, a power liftgate, and 20-inch alloy wheels. Buyers will also find heated Napa leather front seats, second-row captain’s chairs, and a power-folding third-row.

They’re joined by a heated leather steering wheel, a tri-zone automatic climate control system, and Charcoal Burl wood trim. Rounding out the highlights is a wireless smartphone charger, a 13-speaker Bose audio system, and a 12.3-inch infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay compatibility.

The QX80 Premium Select begins at $77,300 and features a revised exterior with a dark chrome grille, black mirror caps, and 22-inch wheels with a dark chrome finish. The model also has dark chrome exterior accents as well as Matte Mocha Burl wood trim.

Lastly, there’s the $84,350 QX80 Sensory. It drops the dark accents and features an adaptive front lighting system as well as a Hydraulic Body Motion Control suspension.

Bigger changes occur in the cabin as buyers will find perforated semi-aniline leather front seats with heating and ventilation. They’re joined by heated second-row seats and a rear seat entertainment system that features dual 8-inch displays. Other highlights include a 17-speaker Bose audio system and Charcoal Burl wood trim with gradation.

Regardless of which trim is selected, all QX80s are powered by a 5.6-liter V8 engine that develops 400 hp (298 kW / 406 PS) and 413 lb-ft (559 Nm) of torque. It’s connected to a seven-speed automatic transmission, which can be paired to an optional four-wheel drive system.

Note: Pricing excludes a $1,695 destination and handling fee
