Subaru has announced prices and details for the 2023 Forester that is set to arrive at dealerships across the United States in December where it will be sold in Base, Premium, Sport, Wilderness, Limited, and Touring guises.
Powering all versions of the 2023 Subaru Forester is a 2.5-liter boxer four-cylinder pumping out 182 hp and 176 lb-ft (238 Nm) of torque that’s mated to a Lineartronic CVT and symmetrical all-wheel drive system. The SUV is rated at 33 mpg on the highway and can tow up to 1,500 lbs (680 kg) or 3,000 lbs (1,360 kg) in Wilderness configuration.
Found at the base of the range is the standard Forester model, priced from $27,620 including a $1,225 destination and delivery fee. Among its standard features is a 6.5-liter infotainment display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, remote keyless entry, dual USB-A charge ports, and a $625 option package that adds 17-inch aluminum wheels and new roof rails.

Next in the range is the 2023 Forester Premium available from $30,620. It adds heated front seats, heated wing mirrors, 10-way power driver’s seat, 17-inch aluminum wheels, ladder-type roof rails, dark tint privacy glass, panoramic power moonroof, and Keyless Access with Push-Button Start, as well as X-Mode with Hill Descent Control.
The range then grows with the Forester Sport starting at $32,190 with a more youthful appearance that includes black 18-inch wheels, various orange accents, as well as Blind-Spot Detection with Lane Change Assist and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert and Automatic Emergency Steering as standard.
Subaru’s 2023 Forester Limited that is available from $34,300 is based on the Premium but adds 18-inch black wheels, color-matched wing mirrors, an 8-inch infotainment display, and various other interior upgrades. The Forester Wilderness sits above the Limited, starting at $35,245 and designed as the most off-road-focused variant of the SUV.
Last but not least is the 2023 Subaru Forester Touring which starts at $37,720 and has all the same standard features as the Limited but adds a DriverFocus Distraction Mitigation System, 18-inch dark gray wheels, satin chrome wing mirrors, LED fog lights, and chrome trim.
