Ralph Gilles owns one of the coolest Dodge Chargers ever created, but his isn’t the only Hellephant-powered model out there.
Quite the opposite as another high-performance 1968 Dodge Charger is slated to go up for auction in November.
While not as cool as Gilles’ Hellucination, this particular model is known as Dumbo and it features a supercharged 7.0-liter (426 cubic inch) V8 engine that produces 1,000 hp (746 kW / 1,014 PS) and 950 lb-ft (1,287 Nm) of torque. It’s connected to a Stage II T56 Magnum six-speed manual, which sends power to the rear wheels.

The listing doesn’t say how fast the car is, but it has been equipped with a Magnum Force suspension, Viking coilovers, and a Strange S60 rear end that features 4.10 gearing. The model also sports Rushforth wheels that are backed up by Wilwood brakes.
The listing is light on additional details, but the model has a Destroyer Gray exterior with prominent Hellephant graphics. The car has also been equipped with LED lighting units, a TTi exhaust system, and billet door handles from Ringbrothers.
Moving into the cabin, there’s gray seats and a unique center console with prominent Hellephant badging. Elsewhere, there’s a three-spoke steering wheel, toggle switches on the dashboard, and Mopar logos on the door panels.
There’s no auction estimate, but the Hellephant engine originally cost $29,995 and was limited to 100 units. The engines occasionally come up for auction and they typically sell for quite a bit more than their original sticker price.
