Pininfarina published a short teaser of a brand-new model on its YouTube channel, called the Foxtron Model B. The new EV from the Foxtron brand, which is a collaboration between Taiwan’s iPhone maker Foxconn and Yulon Motor company, appears to have a compact footprint and follows the styling language introduced by the larger Model E sedan last year.
The teaser is quite revealing, giving us a proper look at the car from different angles. The Model B looks like a mixture of a supermini hatchback and an SUV, with an aerodynamic two-box silhouette and a car-like ground clearance.

The front end is characterized by the full-width LED headlights surrounding the grille, the small overhang, and the modern bumper intake with a honeycomb pattern. From the profile, the EV has some similarities with the Jaguar I-Pace, with soft plastic cladding finished in glossy black, matching C-pillars, and aero-style wheels
At the back, the taillights mirror the shape of the headlights with the lower units doubling as screens that communicate with other road users. In the video we can see a person walking behind an arrow, probably guiding pedestrians around the vehicle. This feature, alongside the sensors on the bumper intake and the camera-replacing mirrors, hint that Foxconn’s Model B could come equipped with sophisticated ADAS.
The teaser is titled “It’s beauty. It’s beast.” referring to the exterior design and the modular interior which is expected to offer plenty of space for passengers and luggage for the vehicle’s size. Speaking of packaging, the Model B will be based on Foxconn’s modular EV-dedicated architecture. At this point we don’t have information on the specifications, the number of electric motors, or the battery capacity.
Foxtron will fully unveil the Model B at the Hon Hai Tech Day 2022 event which is scheduled for October 18. There, we will learn more about the EV which should be positioned as a rival to Tesla’s delayed $25,000 offering. Mind you, VW Group is also working on affordable EVs in the B-Segment with the badges of VW, Skoda, and Cupra.
