Three years ago, Top Car presented the Inferno bodykit for the Mercedes-AMG G63, and now Manhart steps into the game combining the carbon-fiber parts with a series of mechanical upgrades, creating the G 800 Inferno.
When you’re thinking about G-Wagens, the first tuner that comes to mind is Brabus, although a number of companies including Mansory have showcased their proposals for the iconic off-roader. Manhart wants a piece of the pie, thus it previewed the G 800 Inferno which is a more powerful follow-up to the G 700 Inferno from 2019.

The carbon-fiber kit from Top Car Design includes wide fender add-ons, more aggressive bumpers, a vented bonnet, roof-mounted LEDs, a diffuser, and a sportscar-style rear wing. Manhart added its signature gold decal set contrasting the black shade, a theme that continues inside the re-upholstered cabin with Alcantara and perforated leather. The gold-painted Manhart Forged Line wheels look quite massive under the boxy fenders, while a set of H&R lowering springs bring the G-Wagen closer to the ground for improved handling.
The Wuppertal-based tuner tweaked AMG’s twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 engine with new software and an “enhanced turbo performance upgrade” resulting in an impressive power output of 798 hp (595 kW / 809 PS) – similar to the Manhart ER800 sedan. Torque is even higher than that, at 1,170 Nm (863 lb-ft). Those figures represent a healthy increase compared to the stock G63’s 577 hp (430 kW / 585 PS) and 849 Nm (627 lb-ft). Finally, there is a new stainless steel exhaust system featuring valve control and downpipes without catalytic converters.
Manhart didn’t announce the cost for the upgrades, but published a number of exterior and interior renderings previewing the tuned G63. Interested parties can contact the tuner and order a refresh of their off-roader. Mind you, Mercedes-AMG will soon present the facelifted version of the G-Class featuring mild visual and technological tweaks.
