While Mercedes might have moved on from the fire-breathing V8 under the hood of its future C63 models, Manhart is taking its time to say goodbye. To do so in dramatic fashion it’s releasing the Manhart CR 700 Last Edition, based on the now previous-gen C63. As the name signifies, power is set at 702 hp (523 kW) and 678 lb-ft (920 Nm) of torque.
The V8-powered Mercedes-AMG C63 S, which the CR 700 is based on, developed 503 hp (375 kW) and 516 lb-ft (698 Nm) of torque in stock form, with the CR700 adding an extra 199 hp (148 kW) and 162 lb-ft (220 Nm). Manhart isn’t just dialing up the boost on the Biturbo engine to achieve those numbers either.
The tuner installs its own Turbo Performance Kit which includes upgraded turbos, an upgraded intercooler, and a carbon intake. Then, Manhart does its ECU tuning to get the very most out of the new parts. Manhart says it upgraded the transmission to handle the power as well, while customers will be offered two downpipe options, including Sport units with 200-cell catalytic converters or Race units without cats altogether, for those who can get away with it.

Keep in mind that neither exhaust modification is TUV approved so the car is specifically for export only. It’s worth it though because those changes allow the Manhart CR 700 Last Edition to rocket from 100 to 200 km/h (62 to 124 mph) in just 5.5 seconds. That’s almost 3 full seconds faster than the stock C63.
The suspension has been appropriately upgraded with height-adjustable H&R coil springs and Manhart Concave One wheels measuring 9×20 on the front and 10.5×20 inches in the back. 255 and 275 section-width tires wrap those wheels respectively.
The braking system is one of the few parts that remains untouched but Manhart says that it’ll offer a few options to its customers. While the demonstration vehicle is finished in classic black and gold, buyers can specify different finishes as desired.
