Honda Indonesia revealed the second generation of the WR-V which is the production version of the Honda SUV RS concept from last year. The smallest SUV in Honda’s portfolio features sporty styling and is exclusively available with a 1.5-liter i-VTEC engine.
The production model looks very similar to the concept, albeit with a few toned-down features. The LED headlights and taillights are slightly larger, and the rear windscreen is less inclined. Still, the production model retains the duo-tone treatment with a black-painted roof and mirrors, and the characteristic window line. The plastic cladding around the wheel arches is combined with front and rear skid plates for an adventurous look.

The entry-level and mid-spec models come fitted with 16-inch wheels, while the RS gets 17-inch alloys alongside the red RS badges and a chrome-infused grille pattern. Inside, all trims of WR-V come equipped with a 7-inch touchscreen, while the high-spec RS trim also gets a 4.2-inch screen inside the instrument cluster.
Measuring 4,060 mm (159.8 inches) long, the WR-V is the smallest member of Honda’s global SUV family, sitting below the HR-V. It shares its underpinnings with the BR-V seven-seater SUV and the Amaze sedan. The sole powertrain option is a naturally aspirated 1.5-liter i-VTEC engine producing 119 hp (89 kW / 121 PS). Power is exclusively transmitted to the front axle through either a CVT or a 6-speed manual.
In Indonesia, the new Honda WR-V will compete with other small SUVs including the Toyota Raize, Daihatsu Rocky, Nissan Magnite, Renault Kiger, and Kia Stonic.
