A Ford Mustang has been left badly damaged following a crash during a street takeover in the U.S. but surprisingly, it wasn’t the fault of the pony car’s driver.
A YouTube Shorts video captured the moment of the crash. It initially shows a dark grey Mustang powersliding in the middle of an intersection as part of the street takeover. Moments later, a silver C5-generation Chevrolet Corvette comes into view and drifts directly into the front of the Mustang.

Fueled by adrenaline, those participating in the sideshow thought it would be a smart idea for multiple cars to drift and do donuts in the large intersection at the same time. However, the driver of the Corvette was clearly a little too eager to kick out the tail of the sports car and was traveling far too fast to avoid contact with the Mustang.
Now, while we said it wasn’t the fault of the Mustang driver, that isn’t 100 percent true. The driver of the Ford obviously has to take some of the blame for simply participating in the takeover and putting themselves in such a stupid position, powersliding in the opposite direction to some of the other vehicles, including a silver Mustang.
While the video only briefly shows the immediate aftermath of the crash, we can see that the Mustang’s front end was badly damaged by the hit. As for the Corvette, the driver’s side suffered a serious knock and will need to undergo some expensive repairs. What’s more concerning is the fact that there appears to have been someone hanging out of the ‘Vette’s window at the time of the collision. Hopefully, no one was injured at this accident.
