Tesla is set to open more than 340 new Supercharger points throughout the United States as the world’s largest network of EV chargers expands even further.
Details about the new locations were briefly available on Tesla’s website and while they were swiftly removed, Twitter user Supercharger King managed to map them out on Google Maps.
In total, we can see that there are 342 new locations that will soon receive Tesla Superchargers. The locations of them stretch from the East Coast to the West Coast and include eight previously unknown Superchargers around Los Angeles, one in Las Vegas, one just outside Salt Lake City in Provo, a handful in Texas, and a host in New York.

There are also 54 new Superchargers set to be rolled out across Canada.
News of the Supercharger network expanding further won’t just get Tesla owners excited. Last year, Elon Musk confirmed that the automaker would open up the Supercharger network to owners of other EVs. While Tesla has not yet committed to a date to make this happen, a fact sheet released by the White House in July stated that “later this year, Tesla will begin production of new Supercharger equipment that will enable non-Tesla EV drivers in North America to use Tesla Superchargers.”
The Tesla Supercharger network is already open to non-Tesla models across Europe and in order for those across the U.S. to accept other EVs, Tesla will have to add CCS plugs to the chargers. It will likely also need to update the software to ensure a seamless charging experience for all owners of EVs.
Of course, Tesla is far from the only company that is expanding its network of chargers. Siemens wants to establish 1,000,000 EV chargers over the next four years while Electrify America is looking to soon deploy 10,000 ultra-fast chargers at 1,800 locations.
