The Lamborghini Reventon is far more than just another low-production spin-off supercar with a body kit. It laid the groundwork for the Aventador by bridging the stylistic gap between it and the Murciélago. Now, one of the 20 examples ever to roll out of Sant’Agata is available for sale and it has less than 100 miles on the odometer.
Completed in 2007 and then delivered in 2008, this Reventon is the 13th made and is a one-owner car. Under the rear decklid is the same 641 hp (478 kW) naturally aspirated V12 from the Murciélago LP 640-4. The powertrain propels the Reventón from 0-62 mph (100 km/h) in just 3.4 seconds and onto a top speed of 211 mph (340 km/h).
That sort of performance is certainly befitting of the name Reventon since it translates to “small explosion” in Spanish. In fact, the impact that this car had on the Lamborghini lineup can be called anything but small. The supercar it’s based on, the Murciélago, had left the squared-off body shapes of the Diablo in favor of a more curvaceous appearance.

The Reventón signaled a return towards sharper angles and abrasive styling. It also added more interior technology that added to the theater of the driving experience. The Aventador that would come after it took many of its design cues and features and ran with them. Now, as the Aventador finishes production, it does so as the best-selling flagship Lambo ever.
This particular Reventon is special too beyond its place in the family. Despite having just 70 miles (110 km) on the clock, it’s been serviced three times, most recently in July of 2022 by Lamborghini München in Germany. It also comes with all of the original accessories that Reventón owners received with the car.
That includes a military-style bag, a numbered presentation key box, a numbered Reventon folding knife, and a numbered keyring and car cover. This car is so close to new in terms of mileage that RM Sotheby’s specifically mentions that it can be considered “new for VAT purposes in certain jurisdictions”.
