This is the latest 964-generation Porsche 911 restomod created by the experts at Theon Design and it manages to give the very best 911s a run for their money.
Built for a customer in Chile, the car is known as CHI001 and was stripped back and fully restored. It is unique from other Theon Design creations as it features carbon fiber for the vast majority of the body panels, including the roof, hood, engine cover, spoiler, bumpers, and sill covers. Indeed, the only exterior parts not made from carbon fiber are the steel doors and the wheel arch liners that are made from lightweight black Kevlar.
Theon Design looked to Porsche models past and present when crafting the gorgeous exterior design of the car and also elected to paint it in Viola Metallic, a color first used by the 30th Anniversary Porsche 911 introduced in 1993. Further adding to the suave looks of the car are the 17-inch Fuchs style wheels with body-colored centers.

Comprehensive changes have been made under the skin. For example, the car sports TracTive’s Active Controlled Electronics suspension system that features completely independent damping and a Dynamic Damping Adjustment valve within each damper that is controlled by a sensitive multi-axis g-sensor to improve ride quality. Theon Design says this suspension setup improves stability under braking, adds composure on corner entry, and generates far more traction. The owner can switch between five different damping modes.
Elsewhere, the brakes have been upgraded with carbon discs and pads. There is also a custom aero-grade wiring loom to reduce weight, as well as a lightweight air-conditioning system. All up, the car weighs just 1,164 kg (2,566 lbs).
The Chilean owner of this 911 opted to have it fitted with a 4.0-liter naturally aspirated six-cylinder engine. This engine is good for 400 hp and 350 lb-ft (474 Nm) of torque and features independent throttle bodies, a carbon fiber intake shroud, and is coupled to a six-speed manual transmission from a 993 that drives the rear wheels through a Wavetrac limited-slip differential.
Found in the cabin of CHI001 is patinated leather across many surfaces, Recaro Club Sport seats, carbon fiber accents, a wireless smartphone charger, a Bluetooth infotainment system, Focal amplifiers and speakers, and Porsche Royal Purple stitching and accents.
