This 25 Footlong 1996 Dodge Viper RT/10 Limo Is Business In The Front And Party In The Back

Stretch limos are becoming a bit antiquated but this one will never stop turning heads. Built out of a 1996 Dodge Viper, this former sports car is longer than any production car in history. In fact, it can seat more people than any three-row SUV on sale today and it’ll only cost its new owner $160,000.

Available over on Facebook marketplace, this isn’t your average Dodge Viper RT/10 under the skin either. For reasons unmentioned in the listing, its 415 hp (309 kW) V10 that was originally under the clamshell bonnet is gone. In its place sits a MOPAR 360 Magnum crate engine that develops 390 hp (290 kW). It’s not a big drop in power but potentially noticeable in a car that’s 25 feet (7.62 m) long.

While it might have lost all of its serious sporting prowess, the ad does mention what this car is good at. Namely, getting attention. “Excellent opportunity to get your business noticed as this could be rolling advertisement,” the ad says. Whether or not your patrons believe this car is in good taste is another matter.

Interestingly enough, this isn’t the first time that we’ve reported on this exact same Viper limo. Back in August of 2021, it was available and didn’t sell for just $135,000. The used-car market has certainly been hot over the last couple of years but we can’t imagine that suddenly this car will move now that it costs another $25,000.

Regardless of price, it has a few things going for it. As far as we can tell, it’s one of a kind. It’s also topless and “drives great” according to the listing. That’s certainly not the case for all limos.

Ultimately, we can’t tell if this is one of the coolest limos we’ve ever seen or possibly the worst. Clearly, it’s never great to see a classic sports car completely ruined via limofication. At the same time, it’s possible that the engine blew up and that this was a goner that was otherwise saved. Either way, we’d rather be seen in this than in a stretched Miata.
