Jaguar North America announced today that it has partnered with United Airlines to help flyers get to their connections at the airline’s hubs around the country.
The service will be offered at airports in Denver, Houston, Newark/New York, Washington D.C, San Francisco and Los Angeles by the end of the year. United expects its fleet of Jaguars to make 60 trips per day each, which across all airports should amount to 1,000 customer ground transfers per day.
Carting those customers across the airports of America, from one flight to the next, will be the 2023 Jaguar I-Pace HSE. The all-electric SUV, says Luc Bondar, the VP of marketing and loyalty for United Airlines, helps make this project a little greener.

“The new United-Jaguar ground transfer program offers travelers a moment of luxury and ease, while also raising sustainability standards for the airline industry,” says Bondar. “Partnering with Jaguar to deploy an all-electric fleet is not only a smart business move, as we know customers consider sustainability when booking travel, it is the right thing to do.”
Only United customers who are members of the Premier MileagePlus program will be able to make use of the service, and even then, they shouldn’t depend on it. That’s because the service is a “surprise benefit” of the program.
Flyers will only learn that they are getting a ride in the I-Pace once they land and are greeted by a specialized Premier Services agent, who will help the customer get to their ride on the tarmac.
“We are thrilled to partner with United Airlines to further ignite the passion travelers have for eco-minded exploration, as sustainability and electrifying performance are at the heart of the Jaguar brand,” says Joe Eberhardt, president and CEO of Jaguar Land Rover. “Both United and Jaguar have boldly pledged to advancing transportation technology that will help propel us towards a more sustainable future, and we are excited for travelers to have the opportunity to experience these innovations on the tarmac.”
