A host of updates have been made to the Mazda CX-8 in Australia before sales kick off next year in March 2023.
While the overall shape and design of the CX-8 remains familiar, the car manufacturer has added a mesh pattern front grille with a wider chrome grille surround, tweaked the front and rear bumpers, altered the headlights and taillights, and fitted a more stylish rear tailgate.
Elsewhere, the updated Mazda CX-8 is available with a number of new wheel designs and can be finished in a new shade dubbed Rhodium White, joining a paint palette of eight colors.

Mazda hasn’t just worked its magic on the design of the SUV as it has also managed to reduce the noise, vibration, and harshness inside the cabin, resulting in a quieter and smoother ride. Mazda’s intelligent Drive Select (Mi Drive) will also be a standard feature on all all-wheel drive models and allows drivers to switch between Normal, Sport, and Off-Road.
Some updates have also been made in the cabin of the CX-8. For example, the automaker’s 10.25-inch infotainment system now comes standard across the range alongside wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. There is also a 7.0-inch digital instrument cluster, USB-C ports for front-row occupants, and a remote window control system that can be activated with the key fob.
“The Australian consumer has embraced Mazda CX-8 – its combination of elegance and practicality makes it a compelling package that’s hard to ignore,” Mazda Australia managing director Vinesh Bhindi said. “With this latest update, Mazda CX-8 has taken the game to another level, with both styling and technology that will ensure it’s a hit with Aussie buyers for years to come.”
Mazda Australia has yet to announce pricing details of the 2023 CX-8.
