The Nissan Versa has been hit with a small price increase for the 2023 model year but thanks to a series of upgrades, the price hike doesn’t seem unreasonable.
Pricing for Nissan’s sub-compact sedan kicks off from $15,730 when ordered in entry-level S guise with the standard 5-speed manual transmission, representing just a small jump from the $15,080 commanded by the 2022 model. Shoppers can also order the Versa S with Nissan’s Xtronic CVT from $17,400, up from last year’s $16,750.

Like last year, the Nissan Versa is also available in SV and SR guises for 2023. The first of these starts at $19,020 (an increase from $17,890) and the Versa SR is available from $19,720 whereas last year’s model started at $18,490. All of these prices exclude a $1,095 destination and handling fee, itself a touch pricier than the $1,025 of 2022.
Some minor upgrades have been introduced with the 2023 model year. For example, the sedan receive a wireless smartphone charging pad, a built-in WiFi hotspot, and an 8-inch infotainment display. The sedan can also be ordered with an S Plus package that adds Apple CarPlay and Android Auto alongside 16-inch alloy wheels and a 60/40 split-folding rear seat.
Rounding out the updates made include a revised front fascia and grille, new Nissan logos throughout, a Gray Sky Pearl paint finish, and updated 17-inch wheels for the Versa SR.
A number of important safety features come standard on the car. These include Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, Lane Departure Warning, Rear Automatic Braking and High Beam Assist. Those wanting some added safety can also order the 2023 Versa with Blind Spot Warning and Rear Cross Traffic Alert.
