2024 Subaru Impreza Drops Sedan And Manual, Goes Hatch Only, Adds 182 HP 2.5 RS
The sixth generation of the Subaru Impreza debuted in LA as the road-focused sibling of the adventurous Crosstrek. The new Impreza is exclusively available in five-door hathback bodystyle which means that fans of four-door sedans will have to stick to the performance-focused WRX. Subaru killed the manual gearbox option for the 2024 model year, but brought back the sporty 2.5 RS trim for the first time since 2005.
New 2024 Cadillac CT6 Shows Its Face For The First Time In China
The Cadillac CT6 might be dead in North America but the large sedan is getting a new generation in China with an evolved design language, sharper details, and sleeker silhouette. The model will be reserved for the Chinese market where it will be offered with a turbocharged 2.0-liter petrol engine built by the GM-SAIC joint venture.
2023 Porsche Dakar Is The Slowest 911 Since The ’80s, But We Want One So Badly
The 2023 Porsche Dakar is the most adventurous model in the 911 range thanks to jacked-up suspension, grippy tires, all-wheel-drive, and a unique bodykit. When fitted with the Rally Design Package, it looks even more like the 911s that won the 1984 Paris-Dakar, although as you can see in the official configurator this is not the only option. Powering the all-terrain sportscar is a twin-turbo 3.0-liter flat-six that produces 473 hp (480 PS). It accelerates from 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) in 3.2 seconds, but its top speed is limited to 240 km/h (150 mph) due to the Pirelli Scorpion tires.

The LA Auto Show opened its doors on November 17 with fewer that usual but still interesting premieres this year. Besides the Subaru Impreza, Porsche Dakar, and Toyota Prius, other highlights include the North American premieres of the Hyundai Ioniq 6 and the facelifted Kia Seltos. We also get to see some interesting concepts like the Toyota bZ Compact – likely previewing a production model – and the gorgeous Genesis X Convertible. Finally, the Drako Dragon hyper SUV stormed LA with 2,000 hp and a claimed 0-60 mph acceleration in 1.9 seconds, although it won’t hit the roads before 2026.
2023 Toyota Prius Debuts In America With Slick Styling, 57 MPG, And Up To 220 HP
The all-new, fifth-gen Toyota Prius debuted almost at the same time in Japan, Europe, and North America, showing improvements in all areas over its predecessor. Not only does it look better, but it is also the most efficient yet, thanks to the new hybrid and plug-in hybrid powertrains. The PHEV wins the title of the most powerful Prius in history with up to 220 hp (164 kW / 223 PS), while offering double the EV range compared to the previous generation. Are those features enough to help it retain its status in a world filled with BEVs?
Genesis X Convertible Concept Is So Beautiful You May Need To Do A Double Take
Genesis revealed the third and last member of its X concept trilogy which is probably the sexiest of the bunch thanks to the omission of the roof. The two-door convertible with a 2+2 layout and EV underpinnings borrows styling cues from the previous concepts while incorporating all of the latest features from Genesis’ Athletic Elegance design language including the LED lighting. The cabin has a wraparound instrument panel, a combination of recyclable wool fabric and leather upholstery, plus a sophisticated audio system.
2025 VW Tiguan: What It Will Look Like And Everything Else We Know
With the current facelifted second-gen VW Tiguan being around since 2020, an all-new third-gen model is expected to arrive as early as 2024 and will be the last one to be offered with combustion engines before the zero-emission era. Judging from our prototype sightings, the SUV will adopt a more sculpted bodywork replacing straight lines with curves. Inside, the Tiguan will benefit from a larger infotainment screen and more ADAS features. The new model will be based on an updated version of the current model’s MQB Evo platform, and will likely be offered a range of mild-hybrid and plug-in hybrid powertrains offering improved efficiency and lower emissions.
GM Says Its Dealers Have Fixed Over 11,000 Tesla EVs Since 2021
Servicing Tesla models is a growing business for General Motors according to president Mark Reuss. Indeed, GM dealers in the US have fixed more than 11,000 Tesla EVs since 2021. Interestingly, this is beneficial for both sides as GM gains a new source of revenue, while rival automaker Tesla reduces waiting times for its customers in its own service network that is still being developed.

Last week, the global population surpassed the 8 billion milestone for the first time in human history. Interestingly, it took us only 12 years to go from 7 billion to 8 billion, making planet Earth more crowded than ever. The United Nations projects there will be 10.4 billion humans in 2100, down from the previous projection of 11 billion. Let’s hope there will be enough food, jobs, and education for everyone.
Chaos On Twitter After Remaining Employees Reject Elon Musk’s Ultimatum
The new era of Twitter under the leadership of Elon Musk isn’t going well for the social media giant. After the mass layoffs that halved Twitter’s workforce, the new boss sent an ultimatum to the remaining employees asking them to commit to working long hours at high intensity by signing a mandatory form or quit. The vast majority of employees rejected the ultimatum, leading to a temporary closing down of Twitter’s office buildings. The #RIPTwitter hashtag is trending with many users saying their goodbyes in fear of sudden death. As usual, Elon Musk’s response is trolling everyone while talking about record-high Twitter usage in a quest to downplay the reports about the chaos caused by his decisions.
