Bentley continues expanding its range with a variety of trims answering the different needs of its customer base. The latest addition is the Bentayga Odyssean Edition, with a limited production of 70 examples, making use of environmentally friendly materials inside the cabin.

The second Odyssean edition after last year’s Flying Spur gets a set of 22-inch alloy wheels with Pale Brodgar details, matching accents on the lower bodywork, and special badging on the D-Pillars. Bentley is proposing six curated shades for the exterior although the full 60-color palette is still available alongside bespoke options.

The highlight of the Bentley Bentayga Odyssean Edition is the choice of materials, a unique three-color interior configuration, and the ombre embroidery on the seats. The “most sustainable Bentayga” retains the natural leather upholstery in a choice of hides (Autumn, Beluga, Porpoise, Cricket ball, Brunel, or Burnt Oak). The tweed upholstery is entirely made from British wool, while there are accents from Piano Linen veneer. More importantly, the Open Pore Koa veneer on the center console and center tunnel is covered by three ultra-thin layers of lacquer measuring a combined 0.1 mm in thickness, which is 90 percent less quantity than in high-gloss veneers.

Standard equipment includes the Front Seat Comfort Specification with 22-way adjustability, heating, and ventilation, as well as the Touring Specification ADAS suite. The Odyssean Edition is based on the regular Bentayga instead of the longer EWB which means you can’t get the special rear seat package.

The model is exclusively available in plug-in hybrid form. The electrified powertrain comprises the 3.0-liter TFSI V6, an electric motor, and the recently upgraded 18 kWh battery. The combined output is 546 hp (462 PS) allowing the 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) acceleration to be completed in 5.3 seconds, and a top speed of 254 km/h (158 mph). As for the zero-emission range, Bentley claims that the SUV can drive solely on electric power for at least 45 km (28 miles) in the WLTP cycle.

The Bentley Bentayga Odyssean Edition is already available to order although the automaker didn’t disclose pricing. Production of the 70 units will start in the first quarter of 2023.
