The second-generation Cadillac CT6 has been leaked thanks to China’s Ministry of Industry and Technology revealing the entirety of its exterior design and some specs. The new model, reserved for the Chinese market, will serve as Cadillac’s ICE-powered flagship model outside the US.
The exterior of the large sedan has been redesigned adopting Cadillac’s newer design language. The front end is dominated by the imposing grille flanked by slim LED headlights and vertically-mounted lighting units on the bumper’s faux intakes.

The profile adopts a sleeker roofline towards the back, and more rounded surfacing compared to the outgoing CT6. The tail looks rather familiar but the L-shaped taillights are slimmer and taller, while the rear windscreen is more steeply raked. The dual trapezoidal tailpipes at the back proudly state that there’s a gas engine under the hood.
Previous leaks have shown an Escalade-style digital cockpit on the redesigned dashboard, with the instrument cluster and the infotainment touchscreen housed under the same panel. The model is also expected to gain more tech features including the latest version of the Super Cruise semi-autonomous system, alongside new trim options for the premium upholstery.
The second-gen Cadillac CT6 measures 5,223 mm (205.6 inches) long, 1,890 mm (74.4 inches) wide, and 1,473 mm (58 inches) tall, which is about the same as the first generation. The 3,109 mm (122.4 inches) wheelbase is identical, all but confirming the rumors that the new model sits on an upgraded version of its predecessor’s GM Omega RWD underpinnings.
The new Cadillac will be fitted with a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder petrol engine manufactured by the SAIC-GM joint venture. The mill produces 233 hp (174 kW / 233 PS) which is identical to the outgoing model. The top speed is rated at 230 km/h (143 mph).
