The Genesis G80 Electric And Hyundai Santa Fe’s Seat Belt Pretensioners May Explode And Hyundai Also Warns 2018 Santa Fe Sport Owners To Park Outside Over Fire Risk

It has been a potentially nerve-wracking week for Genesis and Hyundai owners, as a number of vehicles have been issued with some important recalls. On Tuesday, Hyundai warned owners of 2018 Santa Fe sport owner to park outside due to a fire risk, with 44,396 crossovers missed in the initial recall. The recall relates to ABS modules in which an electrical short can develop. A few days later, 2023 Genesis G80 Electric and several versions of the 2021-2022 Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid were also recalled due to exploding seatbelt pretensioners.

CEO Tim Kuniskis also revealed that the addition of Stellantis’ Hurricane inline-six into a future Charger hasn’t been completely written off either.

Koenigsegg KXX Rendering Imagines The Ultimate 2,000 HP Hybrid Hypercar

Professional car designer Emre Husmen created what he thinks a fictional Koenigsegg KXX would look like if it were ever to go into production. His illustration combines his own design style with some of the styling traits that Koenigsegg has become synonymous with. It features a bold front fascia where traditional headlights have been replaced by air intakes and curved LED light bars, while the rear features a towering wing and a large diffuser, as well as huge grilles.


Tesla Model 3 Found Floating In The Ocean Off Santa Barbara

Just off the beach in Santa Barbara, California, authorities found a white Tesla Model 3 halfway under the water. Raquel Zick, public information officer for the Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office, told Carscoops “We made sure that the vehicle wasn’t reported as stolen and notified the registered owner that it was their responsibility to have it recovered.” According to Zick, this situation wasn’t too far different from the Bronco we told you about during the summer which suffered a similar fate.​


Dodge Blew Up 7 Engines Trying To Certify Ultimate Hellcat For Final “Last Call” Challenger Special

Dodge’s engineering team blew up seven Hellcat engines trying to get a more powerful variant through Dodge’s grueling certification process, forcing the cancellation of the car’s planned SEMA debut. The final, seventh ‘Last Call’ Challenger will have the most powerful V8 yet, but until the team can get it to work reliably, they won’t be revealing the new car.
