The trailer for “Lamborghini: The Man Behind The Legend” has dropped, giving us a good look at the film that will seek to chronicle the business life of Ferruccio Lamborghini, the namesake founder of the Italian supercar manufacturer.
In production since 2016, the film features the talents of Oscar winners Mira Sorvino (“Mighty Aphrodite,” “Quiz Show”) and Bobby Moresco, who also wrote “Crash” and was a producer on “Million Dollar Baby.”
The titular character, Ferruccio Lamborghini, will be played by Frank Grillo (“The Grey,” “Warrior”). Previous reports suggest that the production received help from Tonino Lamborghini, Ferruccio’s son, to make it as accurate as possible.

His nemesis, Enzo Ferrari, is played by Gabriel Byrne (“The Usual Suspects,” “End of Days”). The movie, though, focuses largely on Ferruccio Lamborghini and what led to the decision to found his own competing sports car business.
Based on the vehicles featured in the trailer, the film will track Lamborghini’s life until at least the ’70s, when the Countach was on the road. Additionally, the trailer features such classic vehicles as the Lamborghini Miura, the 350 GT, several Ferraris, a Porsche 356, and many more.
Discussing the film in 2016, producer Andrea Iervolino said: “I am very proud to produce a film about an iconic man who had such a profound impact around the world, and left a legacy that lives on in such strong spirit. Ferruccio Lamborghini was a pioneering businessman who brought honor to Italy and helped raise worldwide awareness.”
Those eager to see how the life of Ferruccio Lamborghini and the story of his legendary car company will be dramatized onscreen fortunately won’t have to wait much longer. The film is set to debut in theaters and on streaming services on November 18, 2022.
