Chevrolet introduced the 2023 Colorado earlier this year and the company has revealed pricing will start at $30,695.
While that’s $2,590 more than its predecessor, the redesigned truck is only available in a Crew Cab configuration. As a result, when you compare the old Crew Cab variant to the new one, the price increase is a relatively minor $690.
Putting pricing aside for a moment, the entry-level Colorado WT sports a rugged new design as well as plenty of black components that identify it as the cheapest version of the truck. The 17-inch steel wheels are also a dead giveaway, but the model does feature rear privacy glass as well as a corner step rear bumper.

While the exterior screams bargain basement, the same can’t be said about the cabin. Quite the opposite as the truck has an 8-inch digital instrument cluster and an 11.3-inch infotainment system with Google integration as well as wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Buyers will also find power windows / locks, a push-button ignition, remote keyless entry, and a six-speaker audio system.
The WT also comes with a suite of driver assistance systems that includes Automatic Emergency Braking and Forward Collision Alert. Other standard safety features include IntelliBeam headlights and Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning.
Power comes from a turbocharged 2.7-liter four-cylinder engine that develops 237 hp (177 kW / 240 PS) and 260 lb-ft (352 Nm) of torque. However, customers can spend $2,050 to upgrade to a more powerful four-cylinder developing 310 hp (231 kW / 314 PS) and 390 lb-ft (528 Nm) of torque. Both engines are connected to an eight-speed automatic transmission and four-wheel drive is available as a $3,300 option.
Moving up the trim ladder is the $33,095 Colorado LT, which features a more refined appearance thanks to additional body-color components and 17-inch aluminum wheels. The truck also comes standard with a remote locking tailgate.
Moving into the cabin, buyers will find a leather-wrapped steering wheel, a front center console, and chrome interior door handles. Other additions include improved interior lighting and a rear USB charging port.
Powertrains carryover, but the cost for upgrading to the 310 hp (231 kW / 314 PS) engine drops to $1,915. That’s cheaper than on the WT, but four-wheel drive will still set you back $3,300.
Next up is the $38,495 Trail Boss, which comes standard with the 310 hp (231 kW / 314 PS) engine, four-wheel drive, and an off-road tuned suspension with a 2 inch (51 mm) lift. The model also has larger 18-inch wheels wrapped in 32-inch all-terrain tires. Rounding out the highlights are black recovery hooks, active noise cancellation technology, and an automatic locking rear differential.
The Colorado Z71 begins at $41,395 and it also comes standard with the 310 hp (231 kW / 314 PS) engine and four-wheel drive. It loses the lift, but retains the automatic locking rear differential and recovery hooks, which are painted red in this instance.
The model also gains LED lighting units, LED fog lamps, and cruise control. Buyers will also find a 120-volt power outlet mounted in the bed.
Lastly, there’s the $48,295 Colorado ZR2 which has four-wheel drive as well as a high-output turbocharged 2.7-liter four-cylinder developing 310 hp (231 kW / 314 PS) and 430 lb-ft (582 Nm) of torque. Buyers will also find a unique front fascia, extended fender flares, and 17-inch wheels wrapped in 33-inch mud terrain tires.
The upgrades don’t end there as the truck has a 3 inch (76 mm) lift, DSSV Multimatic dampers, rock sliders, and a spray-on bedliner. They’re joined by a StowFlex tailgate with an integrated storage compartment.
Inside, drivers will find a larger 11-inch digital instrument cluster and heated front seats. They’re joined by a dual-zone automatic climate control system and an eight-way power driver’s seat.
