The Mitsubishi Pajero Sport range has been updated for the 2023 model year in Australia and brings with it some minor alterations. Production of the new model will start in February and dealerships are expected to start taking deliveries from April.
Mitsubishi will offer the Pajero Sport in 4×2 and 4×4 grades, both of which use a 2.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder diesel engine rated at 133 kW (180 hp) at 3,500 rpm and 430 Nm (317 lb-ft) of torque at 2,500 rpm. Working alongside this engine is an eight-speed automatic transmission.
For 2023, Mitsubishi Australia has made a tire pressure monitoring system standard on all Pajero Sport GLS and above grades. Pajero Sport GLS and Exceed models are also now available in a new color dubbed Impulse Blue while the sporty GSR is now available in Terra Rossa with a black roof. Speaking of the GSR, it also includes 18-inch alloy wheels and black across the badges, front and rear bumper garnish, front grille, headlight garnish, roof, and spoiler.
Customers can also choose from a plethora of Mitsubishi Genuine Accessories for the SUV, many of which are bundled into three available Accessory Packages.
These start with the Signature Pack that adds black fender flares, new badges, illuminated scuff plates, interior emblem, silver front under garnish, and silver rear under garnish. The Signature Plus pack builds on this and adds a Nudge Bar with an integrated LED light bar, towbar, 50 mm towball, and weather shields. An Expedition Pack is also offered, adding a black or silver engine hood emblem, frontal protection bar, Redarc electric brake controller kit, Rola Titan MK2 roof tray, roof rack cross bars, scuff plates, snorkel, towbar, and 50 mm towball.
