The automotive market is finally seeing just the first real hints of cooling off after some absolutely wild pricing in the past couple of years. Markups have led to hatchbacks costing north of $60k, SUVs trading for tens of thousands over sticker, and some dealers asking $375,000 for a Corvette Z06. That’s what might make this $74,000 Ferrari 456 supercar a screaming V12 deal.
This 1995 example features a LeMans Blue paint job with blue and cream-colored leather in the cabin. It’s a tad ostentatious but not annoyingly so. What matters most is that it’s a driver’s car with all of the most important features that make it so.
Under the hood is a 5.5-liter V12 engine that’s factory-rated at 436 hp (325 kW) and 404 lb-ft (549 Nm) of torque. That engine sends power to the rear wheels only through a six-speed gated manual transmission. It’s a true Italian stallion and should turn heads wherever it goes since it’s instantly recognizable as a Ferrari.

The interior, while far from modern, is tastefully appointed and manages to avoid looking out of date. Despite having some 54,175 miles on the chassis, it doesn’t look worn out at all. The rear seats, yes there are a pair behind the driver, look basically perfect.
Just think, you could be rocketing down the track with three friends at over 190 mph (305 km/h) in this thing. That’s not an experience that can easily be had for $74,000 or less.
In case the general package we’ve described here isn’t enough to sway you, it’s worth noting that this car comes with a very thorough inspection report. We’re not talking about a CarFax or something similar either. A detailed report shows tiny scratches, scuff marks, and goes so far as to mention tiny things like the loose window switch.
Keep in mind that every imperfection is documented with photos too. A full repair and maintenance history is present as well. At no time is a $74,000 car the most practical choice available. That’s even more true when the car in question is a Ferrari. But considering all this one has to offer, we’re not going to be shocked if it’s gone quite quickly.
