Unlike most other limited-edition variants of the Lamborghini Huracan, the new Sterrato isn’t about extracting every ounce of performance on a racetrack. But, that doesn’t mean it can’t be used and enjoyed on a track, even the famed Nurburgring.
Just a couple of days after the Huracan Sterrato made its online debut, Lamborghini has released a high-action video of it lapping the Nurburgring alongside a Huracan STO but it does so with a bit of a cheeky twist.

Like all Huracan models, the Sterrato features a 5.2-liter naturally-aspirated V10 which in this application delivers 602 hp and 417 lb-ft (565 Nm), slightly less grunt than the 631 hp it produces in the STO, Tecnica, and Huracan Evo. It also doesn’t benefit from the same advanced active aerodynamics as the STO so the driver has to get a little creative to keep up.
Rather than sticking to the pavement like any good racing driver should, the driver of the Huracan Sterrato instead cuts across the grass of some of the track’s most famous corners, drifting his way through the dirt and showing what the car is all about.
Making the car so much more at home on dirt than a regular Huracan is the fact that the ride height has been increased by 1.7-inches (44 mm). Lamborghini has also fitted aluminum protection across the underbody, reinforced the side sills, and fitted unique 19-inch wheels with Bridgestone Dueler AT002 tires designed to work well on gravel and tarmac. A roof-mounted snorkel is also featured as is a new Rally driving mode that caters towards low-grip surfaces.
