Following its launch in the United States, Lucid has begun delivering the Air in Europe.
The first models were Dream Editions, which were handed over to customers in Germany and the Netherlands.
There are two different versions of the special edition including the Air Dream Edition Range, which has a dual-motor powertrain producing 933 hp (696 kW / 946 PS). However, the car is more notable for living up to its name as it offers a WLTP combined range of up to 883 km (549 km), which makes the model the “longest-range electric vehicle in the European market.” To put that number into perspective, the Mercedes EQS maxes out at 783 km (487 miles).

Customers with the need for speed can opt for the Air Dream Edition Performance, which has an upgraded dual-motor powertrain producing a combined output of 1,111 hp (828 kW / 1,126 PS). This enables the car to rocket from 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in 2.5 seconds, but the range takes a hit as it can only travel 799 km (496 miles) in the WLTP combined cycle. That’s a significant drop, but the range is still pretty generous especially when you factor in the extreme performance.
While European deliveries are just getting underway, the company has already received reservations from customers in Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Italy, Monaco, Norway, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom. Deliveries in these countries are likely a ways off, but Lucid noted they’re “actively expanding” their presence in Europe and recently opened its third retail location in Hilversum, Netherlands. It joins locations in Geneva, Switzerland and Munich, Germany.
