The London Electric Vehicle Company’s TX5 has proven to be a hit since its launch and thanks to Kahn Automobiles, can be made even more impressive.
Kahn’s creation is dubbed the Farelady and while it has only just been unveiled, the tuner has already built at least two examples and will offer it in left- and right-hand drive configurations. Kahn has worked with the London Electric Vehicle Company in the past, producing the final 5 examples of the TX4 to leave the production line.
The modifications start at the front end where Kahn has crafted a new grille for the TX5 that takes inspiration from current Mercedes-Maybach models. The Farelady also features a new roof spoiler and sits on forged 18-inch front and 19-inch rear alloy wheels that aren’t just light but also look the part. Kahn has also equipped the Farelady with a ‘VIP’ light on the roof.
More dramatic changes have been made to the cabin. These include the fitment of all-new quilted seats that Kahn says were inspired by those found in the Bugatti Chiron. Customers can choose between a wide array of leather when ordering the Farelady with Kahn showcasing leather with a light brown finish as well as a bright orange finish.

The interior upgrades continue with the fitment of a starlight headliner, perforated leather across various other interior surfaces, wireless phone charging, configurable lighting, and USB-C charging ports. New wooden trim also adorns the door panels.
“It is always a privilege to work on what is truly one of the most iconic cars in the world,” the company found Afzal Kahn said. “The Last of Line edition was a great success for us, with the vehicles all finding homes with private collectors. I look forward to embarking on a journey with new clients who wish to possess their own piece of British history in the form of the TX5 taxi.”
A fully converted TX5 will set back shoppers £99,000 ($120,000) plus VAT.
