Great Wall revealed two new special editions of the popular Tank 300 at the Guangzhou Auto Show – called Cyber Knight and Iron Cavalry 02 – set to be produced in limited numbers for the Chinese market.
The sportier-looking Tank 300 Cyber Knight is the production version of the Cybertank concept from 2021. The aggressive bodykit and the boxy looks make it look like the Chinese equivalent of the Mercedes-AMG G63, although smaller in size. The model is exclusively available in black, combined with either blue or orange exterior accents and a matching interior.

The styling of the Cyber Knight closely mirrors the concept and looks more like the work of a tuner than an OEM option. At the front, the deep front bumper has faux intakes with Y-shaped LEDs, while there is a version-specific illuminated grille and a seemingly decorative scoop on the bulged bonnet. On the profile, we find body-colored fender extensions, wider side sills, and black alloy wheels. The tail adopts a similar style thanks to the pronounced bumper, the extra compartment that resembles a spare wheel cover, and the carbon fiber rear wing. The latter is mounted on the roof, behind a fancy roof rack with integrated LEDs.
The interior is bathed in blue or orange leather upholstery depending on the configuration, combined with carbon accents and flashy bits. The Mercedes-inspired layout is carried over from the rest of the Tank 300 lineup, including the dual-screen digital cockpit, the round climate vents, and the array of buttons and rotating dials on the center console. The Tank 300 Cyber Knight will be produced in a limited number of 7,000 units, with the first batch of 5,000 units already available to order at ¥330,000 – 350,000 (equal to $47,490 – $50,369 at current exchange rates).
The Tank 300 Iron Cavalry 02 is a whole different story, trading the Fast and Furious bodykit for a more rugged appearance. As suggested by its name, it is an upgraded version of the first Iron Cavalry from last year. The highlight of the new variant is the new adjustable suspension with Eibach springs and 8-stage damping, allowing it to perform better off the beaten track.
The model retains the larger grille, vented bonnet, Wrangler-style off-road bumpers, cut-off wide fenders, and roof rack of the original Iron Cavalry, adding a snorkel, a front winch by WARN, and a new set of retro-flavored 17-inch wheels shod in all-terrain tires. The total availability of the Tank 300 Iron Knight 02 is unknown but a total of 1,000 white-painted models are scheduled to roll out of the factory priced at ¥302,800 ($43,574).
Both special editions of the Tank 300 come fitted with the stock turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine producing 224 hp (167 kW / 227 PS) and 387 Nm (285 lb-ft) of torque as in the regular trims. Power is transmitted to all four wheels through an eight-speed automatic gearbox and an AWD system with electronic differential locks.
