A prototype of the 2024 Nissan Sentra has been spied testing for the very first time by a loyal CarScoops reader.
This prototype was snapped by Nick in the midst of testing in Arizona and the presence of a camouflage wrap across the front and rear bumpers, as well as black tape over the rear badges, indicates where most of the changes will be applied.
Evidently, alterations made to the 2024 Sentra will be minor and only some tweaks to the front and rear bumpers are expected. The front grille will also be slightly altered to look more similar to the grille of the 2023 Altima.
While we don’t yet have any spy images that showcase the cabin of the new Sentra, it is safe to assume that it too will benefit from some updates, although they may be limited to some trim changes and possibly a reshuffling of standard options across the available models.

No mechanical modifications are likely, meaning the Nissan Sentra should retain the same 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine as the 2022 model, pumping out a total of 149 hp and 146 lb-ft (198 Nm) of torque coupled to an Xtronic transmission driving the front wheels. Interestingly, Nick notes that this Sentra prototype had an automatic start-stop function.
We expect the 2024 Sentra range to remain largely the same as the current model, meaning the entry-level model will be dubbed the S, the mid-range tier will be the SV, and the flagship model will be the SR. Prices for the 2022 model start at $19,510, increase to $20,570 for the SV, and top out at $22,100 for the SR.
Hat tip to Nick for the photos!
