No, this sketch doesn’t preview a future model that could be produced by Aston Martin or Bentley and instead, has been designed as the ultimate Cadillac roadster.
This intriguing sketch was shared to the General Motors Design page on Instagram and while it doesn’t preview a vehicle that will actually reach the light of day, it is still pretty cool.
The gorgeous shape of the car may be the first thing you notice but if you look a little closer, some of the other design details are particularly neat. For example, the Cadillac has been rendered with cameras stretching out from the A-pillars instead of traditional wing mirrors. It also has a slim rear-view mirror and sleek cut outs behind the front wheels.
A lack of visible door handles add to the clean look, as do the large wheels with silver spokes.

The rear fascia is particularly striking. Whereas the sides are dominated by smooth surfaces and gentle creases, the rear has vertical LED taillights and a blacked-out section that stretches out from the green decklid. A narrow design line connects the two taillights while a small Cadillac badge is also visible.
Unfortunately, GM Design has not shared any other sketches of the car so we don’t know what it could look like from the front. If the rear is anything to go by, it could look absolutely beautiful.
While Cadillac isn’t expected to bring such a vehicle into production, it did recently take a bold step into the future with the all-electric Celestiq. Cadillac hopes that the handbuilt Celestiq will allow it to rival vehicles like the Bentley Flying Spur, Rolls-Royce Phantom, and Mercedes-Maybach S-Class.
