Subaru unveiled the redesigned Crosstrek in September and now it’s coming to America.
The US-spec model will be introduced at the Chicago Auto Show on February 9th and feature “upgraded power, advanced technology, and enhanced safety.” Subaru declined to elaborate, but they teased a Sport variant with black wheels and yellow accents.
Putting the teaser aside, we already know the 2024 Crosstrek will have an evolutionary design that is instantly recognizable. However, it adopts a more expressive grille, streamlined bodywork, and sleeker headlights.

The evolutionary design continues in the cabin and we can expect improved seats, upgraded upholstery, and an 11.6-inch infotainment system. The Japanese Crosstrek also benefits from NVH improvements and we can expect them to be shared with the American version.
The 2024 Crosstrek rides on a “further evolved” version of the Subaru Global Platform. It promises improved rigidity as well as better driving dynamics.
Engine options will likely echo the redesigned Impreza and this means we can expect a 2.0-liter four-cylinder developing 152 hp (113 kW / 154 PS) and 145 lb-ft (196 Nm) of torque. It could be joined by a 2.5-liter boxer engine with 182 hp (136 kW / 185 PS) and 178 lb-ft (241 Nm) of torque. This being Subaru, a Lineartronic continuously variable transmission and a symmetrical all-wheel drive system will also be part of the package.
